this hackathon is all about building smarter, faster, and cooler apps with server-first thinking. you'll be encouraged to explore things like:
- streaming: speed things up with creative loading experiences and partial rendering
- smart server logic: offload work to the server to keep your client-side lean and snappy
- external apis: fetch and process data server-side for cleaner components
- community favorites: make something that your fellow devs love to use and share
💸 prize tracks
there's a $500 prize pool up for grabs, with $125 awarded in each of these categories:
- best use of streaming
- most innovative ui/ux
- best api integration
- community favorite

day 1 (kickoff)

- live news feed: pull in headlines and render them on the fly via streaming
- recipe app: server-powered search and filter that feels instant
- custom dashboard: pull from 3 apis and render only what's needed, when it's needed
- portfolio site: smooth loading and tight performance with minimal js on the client
✨ judging criteria
projects will be evaluated based on:
- creativity & technical use of server components (10 pts)
- overall ux / ui quality (10 pts)
- usefulness or cool factor (10 pts)
- completion & polish (10 pts)
